Standard Shipping
Depending on where the wine is being shipped, standard delivery can take up to 1 week. We offer notifications so that you know where your wine is and when it will be delivered! Wine delivery by law requires an adult signature, so you will want to be sure to be home or ship to a business where the package can be signed for.
Don’t want to wait at home? We can often ship to a FedEx Hold At Location instead. FedEx Hold At Location can be found in Walgreens, Safeways, Krogers, FedEx Office, and many other types of business. You can find a FedEx Hold At Location here. When you ship to a FedEx Hold At Location, FedEx will hold your wine for up to 5 days, so you can pick it up at your convenience
Temperature Controlled Shipping
Our goal at HALL is to ensure that your wine makes it to your doorstep in excellent condition. Shipping in the summer can be challenging because with traditional shipping methods your wine could be subjected to the hot summer heat. This could negatively affect the integrity and longevity of your wine!
We’ve partnered with FedEx Cold Chain Services to provide a great transportation method that allows your wine to travel temperature-controlled to avoid the summer heat in transit. It’s important to note that this shipping option is only available during the summer months! With this program, delivery can take 1 ½ to 3 weeks. Want your wine faster? Does heat damage wine?
Too much heat will cause the pressure in the bottle to expand, therefore often pushing air to the cork. Although it’s not the worst outcome, the real issue is when you open the wine, and it doesn’t taste good – this means that too much oxygen likely crept out around the cork. Usually, damage is easy to spot! With how hot it can be during the summer months we only ship wine when it is safe to ship or via our summer-safe shipping options, Temperature Control or Priority Overnight.
